Facilities
In 2019, we inaugurated the STC - Starnav Training Center at the Macaé Operating Base.
Built in the Imboassica neighborhood, it has approximately 600 m² of built area, dedicated exclusively to technical, operational, and safety training, serving all areas of the company. The space was developed to host all Starnav employees, whether offshore seafarers or onshore staff.
The Starnav Training Center has exclusive, qualified, and dedicated instructors in their specific areas. The building has three floors, divided into a bridge training area, a machinery training area, and general training rooms.
Infrastructure
For machinery training, STC provides a complete diesel engine and an Automation and Control system so that students can feel and be trained with everything they already see or will see on board.
The bridge training area has an advanced high-tech simulator, capable of reproducing the most varied navigation and maneuvering conditions for all vessels in the Starnav fleet and others. The simulator allows our crews to carry out tests of usual maneuvers and adverse situations, both in the open sea and in restricted waters or port regions, guaranteeing a high level of preparation, improved operability, and a significant increase in safety in real situations.
Starnav Serviços Marítimos’ main asset is its employees. For us, the main objective of the training center is to train and improve the techniques of our employees, promoting the opportunity for development in the most varied situations, aiming for safety, operational excellence, quality, and efficiency in the performance of our services.
